ENSEMBLE BAROCUM is an early music ensemble founded by three young musicians – Stefanie True, Patrycja Domagalska, and Mateusz Kowalski – who met at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Their repertoire includes Baroque cantatas, songs, and instrumental works. They have performed at festivals in the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain. In 2019, they released the album Lessons of the Old Covenant, featuring French Baroque cantatas based on Old Testament themes.

Venue

The Baroque synagogue in Chęciny, built in the 17th century, now houses the Center for Jewish Cultural Memory following a thorough renovation completed in 2023. The two-story building, featuring a preserved black marble aron ha-kodesh and an impressive women’s gallery, serves as an exhibition and educational space, documenting the history and heritage of the local Jewish community. Opened in 2024, the Center promotes intercultural dialogue, with its symbol being the letter “Shin” – a sign of remembrance, peace, and spiritual renewal.
