Church of St. James in Sandomierz
One of the oldest brick churches in Poland, built in the 13th century in the Romanesque style. Founded by Dominicans brought here by St. Jacek Odrowąż, the church impresses with its austere architecture, Romanesque portal, and decoration of glazed bricks. It survived Tatar invasions, fires, and the suppression of the order in the 19th century. In 2001, the Dominicans returned, reviving the church's original character.
